Suggested Guidelines for Camper Behavior

Camper guidelines apply while at Middle Florida Baptist Assembly. Additional guidelines may be set by the Camp Director. It is important that campers remember that in order to learn and have fun. Each camper is responsible for demonstrating appropriate behavior.

Campers will be responsible for the following:

Using behavior that will help him/her learn

- listening to and following instructions

- cooperating and participating in activities

- respecting the rights of others to participate and learn

Getting along with camp staff, counselors and other campers

Participating in all activities

Cooperating with all campers and staff

Respecting the rights and belongings of others

Listening to and following instructions

Using appropriate language

 

When campers are at Middle Florida Baptist Assembly there are some behaviors that are considered serious problems. These include:

Swearing

Refusing to follow instructions or directions

Bullying, pushing, shoving, intimidating other campers

"Play" fighting and horseplay

Disrupting camp activities

Refusing to participate in camp activities

Displaying a negative attitude which affects other campers

 

Behaviors that threaten other campers and staff or put the camper or other campers in danger will:

mean that the camper may be sent home immediately

be reported to the parent/guardian

 

Behaviors that will result in the camper being sent home and may result in further consequences include:

Violent acts against staff or campers

Theft or vandalism

Possession of alcohol, tobacco products, narcotics, or dangerous drugs

Possession of a weapon (this includes pocket knives & fireworks of any kind)

Overt sexual behaviors toward students or staff

Running away from supervising staff or supervised areas

Displaying a negative attitude which affects other campers
